FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):
Q: Do I *have* to do this?
A: No, it's completely and totally optional. You will not have to be a LVL2 member to receive any of the content that we are creating.
Q: Do I have to tithe or give money?
A: No, this isn't a Patreon or a payment plan. It's important that we establish stewardship and generosity as vital expressions of worship, not as expected pay-to-play measures to participate in the life of the Church. You should tithe if you feel led, not because of guilt.
Q: Do I have to attend every meeting?
A: We aren't your school, parents, or job. Your voice and presence make the difference. The more that you attend, the more you will be seen, known, and heard. The less that you attend, the less you will be seen, known, and heard. Ideally, you should put into our events what you want to get out of it.
Q: Do I have to be 18 or older?
A: No. Anyone of any age can join LVL2 to bring ideas, suggestions, feedback, and more. We need leaders of every age.
Q: I go to another church...
A: That's totally okay. This isn't a membership transfer or anything like that. We're church, but we're definitely not the standard. We hope that you are involved with a physical church community in addition to our community. No exclusivity here!
Q: Uh, I'm actually the pastor there.
A: That's still totally okay... with us. As long as it doesn't cause harm to your relationship with your professional ministry, we are open and happy to welcome you to the next level of community here.
Q: I'm not really a leader...
A: We believe you are! Leadership doesn't mean leading a Bible Study, preaching, making videos, or anything. What defines leadership is the willingness to give time and effort towards the thing we are doing here at Checkpoint. There are no expectations.
Q: Will this be boring?
A: We sure hope not. These are not going to be your standard gatherings - each of our times together should be collaborative, exciting, and fun overall.
Q: Do I have to join the Discord?
A: No. But it's highly recommended in order to be fully involved with Checkpoint. We are happy to sit down one-on-one and teach anyone unfamiliar how to use the platform.
Q: Why do you need my address?
A: We want to send physical mail to our leaders for information, gifts, and more. This information also helps us to understand who we are reaching with our ministry. A: That is 100% okay. No pressure to join LVL2. We would love to have you, but feel free to take your time with this decision.
