Roughly translated, I believe the above can be made to say, "Are you for REAL?" in French. Why am I so incredulous? One big obvious reason: my mind was blown this past Wednesday night at our inaugural Undertale & Jesus session.
During our very first night together, we had such a great time with one another. Most of the usernames popping up were names that I knew or had invited, but according to our analytics, we had a total of 27 random people stop by for our first night. One of which, named le_pika_pika83, joined us all the way from the country of love: France! This person stayed with us for around an hour and spoke with everyone in a completely different language (literally!).
This is my fifth year in appointed ministry and my eleventh as a leader in the church. I've seen the planting of two churches. I've NEVER seen someone from France step foot in the local church while physically being in France!
Friends, this is exactly why we're doing what we're doing. I can't say for certain whether le_pika_pika83 knows Jesus. But I do know that there is no other way I could come up with to reach that person with the love of Christ in me on an ordinary Wednesday night.
So, am I serious? After this past Wednesday, I'm more serious about this church for nerds, geeks, and gamers than ever. I hope you are too.
